Mauritel Mobiles has bought Intec Interconnect v7 and Intec Interconnect PREP, which it can upgrade to Intec Mediation at a later stage.
London , 1 May 2007: Intec, a leading supplier of BSS/OSS solutions to the global telecoms industry, has delivered key components from its Wholesale Business Management solution to Mauritel Mobiles. In a substantial deal, Mauritel Mobiles has bought Intec Interconnect v7 and Intec Interconnect PREP, which it can upgrade to Intec Mediation at a later stage. These market leading products are key components of Intec’s pre-integrated Wholesale Business Management solution, which helps operators trade, route, mediate, bill and settle effectively for wholesale traffic.
The contract with Mauritel Mobiles was won against strong competition from major players in the African continent. After evaluating differing marketplace offers, Intec was selected by Mauritel Mobiles on the basis of technological superiority and experience, strong references in the region, an ability to deliver using in-house French speaking resources, collaboration with a local partner and a commitment to an aggressive implementation schedule.
The mobile telecommunications market in Mauritania has been growing rapidly. It is predicted to accelerate further as Mauritania has awarded a third mobile license and is beginning the exploitation of undeveloped offshore oil deposits.
