Systems Consultant

You will be responsible for:

• Troubleshooting problems with DCP software in customer environments and devising work-around solutions.
• Providing assistance to DCP customers on the configuration and use of the DCP application, Oracle and Unix.
• Installing, configuring and updating DCP installations.
• Fixing software problems or bugs experienced by customers by defining the problems to backend developers and arranging for the solutions to be applied to customers systems.
• Knowledge-transfer to the Intec organisation in DCP production-related questions, such as performance, scalability, common problems etc.
• Communicating with project managers any problems or delays in project implementations and adhering to Intec project implementation standards.
• Development of training materials and technical instructions.
• Performing hands-on training workshops with customers.

We are looking for:

• While a technical IT educational backround is preferred, we do not have specific requirements to the educational background. The most important qualification is the ability and willingness to learn about the technology and how it is being used.
• Personal characteristics of the ideal applicant:
• Strong English written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Danish is an advantage.
• Sense of quality and professional pride.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in interrupt-driven mode.
• A self motivated individual who works well in a team environment and who is willing to travel to visit our customers on-site at international locations.
• Technical qualifications that would ease the learning curve of the systems that we work with:
• Experience of the operation of real-time, mission-critical systems.
• Experience of working in a UNIX environment.
• Knowledge of networking protocols.
• Knowledge of Oracle Databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of Client/Server systems.
• Knowledge of distributed, fault tolerant systems.
