René is a managing director at General Atlantic LLC (GA), a global private equity firm which manages approximately $16 billion of assets. He is currently involved with leading technology and IT services companies in the telecommunications, healthcare and finance sectors. Between 1996 and 2002, René headed GA’s European offices, leading several new investments and building a team of senior professionals and advisers. He is also a Director of two publicly traded companies, BM&F Bovespa S.A. (Brazil) and RiskMetrics Group (U.S.).
