Total Service Mediation (TSM) is a mediation framework that integrates the user experience across Intec’s entire mediation product range, while providing “best of breed” functionality. TSM provides the total set of functionality required to mediate the data flow between a telecommunications network and the support systems for that network.

TSM comprises:

Convergent Mediation – A convergent mediation system collects data from the entities integral to a telecommunications network. The collected data contains information that describes service delivery and service usage over the network. The convergent mediation system conditions the collected data for delivery to other systems that require knowledge of network usage. Convergent mediation is a one-way flow of data from the network to the business systems.

Service Activation – A service activation system receives service requests from business support systems. The received data is interpreted and transformed into actions/commands that are delivered to the entities that comprise the telecommunications network. Reverse mediation is a one-way flow of data from the business systems to the network.

Active Mediation – An active mediation system interfaces to some of the entities that makeup the telecommunications network and, in real time, grants or denies service delivery based on financial or some other business consideration. Active mediation is a bi-directional flow of data and provides business functions, in real time, to the network.
