Purpose:
Analyse and manage technical requirements of customers including performance, integration and technical administration issues.
Responsibilities may include pre sales support; product training support; data migration support and technical responses to RFP’s, assessing infrastructure requirements and delivering and installing hardware/software to support project deployments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists in the identification and analysis of the external client’s technical requirements
- Gathers information for cost models, creates preliminary technical resource allocation plans, and provides technical input and consultation
- Consults with customers on application and system sizing, performance requirements, application installation and deployment
- Performs installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
- Performs release promotions (including core upgrades) from development through to UAT
- Establishes and maintains system/database backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Conducts Performance testing, tuning and backup recovery of the database
- Performs technical trouble shooting and consults with development teams to resolve issues
- Communicates, to client, Intec technical perspective
- Sets up and maintains documentation and standards
- Follows and promotes the agreed Best Practices and their supporting documentation
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Software, Telecommunications) or Business (with major in Computing)
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience (Unix administration, Oracle administration, desktop administration, SQL performance tuning)
- Telecommunications industry experience and related product knowledge preferred
